Kia ora and welcome to my beginners boxing fundamentals course.
This course is for anyone who’s wanting to get into boxing for the first time or wanting to improve their current boxing technique. If it’s your first time lacing up the gloves or you’re a seasoned member who’s been training for years. This is for anyone wanting to take their skills to the next level.
My name is Zak Martin. I’m an amateur boxer and boxing instructor from Auckland, NZ with 8 years to my name in the sport. I’ve had 22 fights with 2x NZ GG titles and 2x Australian titles. But I’m not done yet (lol).
I designed this course to be something you can do just about anywhere with minimal boxing equipment. All you’re gonna need is a bit of space! The beauty of this course is you can watch, listen and practice anywhere in the world, at any time.
By taking this course, you’re going to learn the skills of how to move like a boxer as well as gain the knowledge of the terminology used in training. I have broken the course up into 3 modules, essentially 3 different levels to learn more check out the course breakdown section.
Course Breakdown
Module one involves stance & foot positioning, as well as breaking down each of the punches one all the way through to six
Module two involves defensive tools including slips, blocks, guards, weaves and how these can be applied
Module three includes putting everything together including combinations that you can use and take into your sessions

Of course! After purchase you’ll have unlimited access to all modules and can revisit them whenever you like.
Do I need a pads partner
No! You can do it solo. But you can grab a partner if you want to and use the bonus tips for how to hold pads to help.
Do I need boxing gear?
There are very minimal requirements for gear to do this program. You can start with nothing. The more you have (e.g., gloves), the better, but it’s not a requirement.
What skills will I learn?
You will learn the fundamentals of boxing: including stance, the six punches, basic defensive tools and how to utilise and put combinations together. Ultimately, by the end of the course, you will be able to move and feel like a boxer.

This course is for anyone who wants to begin or improve their boxing journey. Whether you’re completely new to the sport or you’re a veteran who’s been training for years, this course is for anything who’s wanting to level up and improve their current boxing skills.
